Hand observation 2- Update
I wanted to create the musculoskeletal system of the hand, I had some trouble finding the images I needed to know what this looked like, after a while of searching through:
Feher, Gyorgy, Anatomy drawing school: human, animal, comparative anatomy, Konemann, 2006, I found these two reference images
Feher, Gyorgy, Anatomy drawing school: human, animal, comparative anatomy, Konemann, 2006, I found these two reference images
and although these images were very useful i still needed more visual information to finish my drawing, this image from :
http://qigongweekly.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Hand-Massage-Points.jpg
was also what I needed
I'm not sure how precisely accurate my drawing is but this is my attempt

Hand observation 2
I drew my hand in a more interesting pose
to get an understanding of the palm side bone structure I used another reference image from:
Feher, Gyorgy, Anatomy drawing school : human, animal, comparative anatomy, Konemann, 2006
then my drawing
and the two drawings scanned together
Muscle structure to come next

Hand observation 1
I drew my hand
I then needed to find the skeletal structure of the human hand, so I googled it and found just what I was looking for from this site:
http://www.brazoria-county.com/sheriff/images/jpg/id/upper/hand.jpg
so now having the knowledge of this I drew the skeleton of my hand using tracing paper and adjusted the angle of the bones to the pose of my hand
then scanned my two drawings together to see how this looked
next I wanted to draw this pose with muscle, here is the reference image I used from :
Feher, Gyorgy, Anatomy drawing school : human, animal, comparative anatomy, Konemann, 2006
my hand showing muscle
then I scanned all three drawings in different combinations, e.g, bone+ muscle, skin+ muscle, bone+ skin+ muscle

Research, sketches post 3
ok i dont think this method is working for me much, they are loose warmup sketches but they're not very accurate either. i shall post what i have done and the rest of the photos of my head then move onto working from a mirror.

research, sketches post 1
I've scanned some reference images from the book: Anatomy Drawing School- Andras Szunyoghy, Gyorgy Feher- Konemann.
Next, I found some x-rays of my scull from a couple of years ago- very useful in an anatomy project.
A few sketches using pastel to get into the groove :)
