Narrative : Old 8mm Film Effect

I had a discussion with Tom Beg a while ago about the old film look he gave his Life Cycle of a Mushroom

we also discussed how to alter the clip to make it less generic as its often used.

I think the footage as it is is far too strong for our animation, perhaps testing a reduction in opacity and flipping the footage to reverse plus expanding it to remove most of the thick black border
